We had an awesome Christmas this year. Shannon and Jordan came up and got here in time for the Ballif Family Party which was a blast as always. We had some chick fil a for dinner, played the dart game, and Grandpa showed us a great spiritual movie. We got home from our cruise the Sunday before Christmas and it worked out perfectly. Christmas morning Austin had to work so I woke up and went to my parents to watch Mitch and Nash open their presents, then came back home to meet up with Austin to go to his sisters church during the afternoon. After church we headed to the Hoffmann's to give his parents and siblings their gifts, then off to the Garner's for dinner and presents. After dinner we headed to Grandma Hoffmann's for a little bit, then back out to my parents, then we decided to come home and watch the Grinch together before heading to bed... we ended up going to bed at like 8:30 :) Holidays have become very long days with both of our families living so close to each other, but we wouldn't change it. We might not be able to go so many places once we have kids, but we'll keep doing it until it gets to be too much. Overall Christmas was an awesome day. This year my Dad surprised my mom majorly. Ever since Grandma Garner passed away and Mom got her ring I've been telling my dad to take it to a jeweler and have him make a new setting with Grandma's diamonds and after a few years he finally decided to do it. Before our cruise my Dad and I went to his friend Greg Norton's to pick out a new setting. It was so much fun. While we were there Dad decided he also wanted a new ring with the diamonds from Grandpa's ring. So on Christmas with everyone their Mom opened her new ring that she had no clue she was getting, and dad put on his new ring. It was so much fun helping my dad surprise her. We ended up also getting her some diamond earrings with leftover diamonds from Grandpa's ring that Dad's new ring didn't need.

Before we left on our cruise we went to our favorite Crew Annual Ugly Sweater Party. It was a blast as always. Austin and I were pumped because we randomly went to the DI in November and scored with some major ugly sweaters that we knew would have to be in the running for the contest... we were right. Austin won the ugly sweater contest and gets his name added to the trophy. (Scott and Jen borrowed our ugly sweaters for a party they were going to and Austin's sweater won again at their party haha ) We had dinner, treats, watched some sports, played with all the cute babies and got some sweet white elephants. Thanks to the Greenwell's for always putting together such a fun party.

Austin's parents took the two of us plus about 26 other people on a cruise in December for Christmas. I don't know about you guys, but that is the best gift you could ever give someone haha Austin, myself, his parents, 5 siblings + spouses, 14 nieces & nephews, + an aunt and a friend headed to California bright and early December 8th to spend a few days at Disneyland & Knott's Berry Farm before boarding the Carnival Splendor for 7 days! It was fabulous. We had a blast going on ride after ride, seeing the awesome water show, and enjoying Disneyland all decorated for Christmas. Sunday morning we boarded our awesome ship and sailed away to beautiful Cabo San Lucas Mexico where we spent 2 days taking a pirate ship, attempting some snorkeling (couldn't see anything at our spot), and doing some serious bartering at the flee markets in order to purchase some awesome souvenirs. Cabo is an amazing place, and I wish we'd have gotten to spend some more beach time, but we had a blast. After two marvelous days in Cabo we sailed to Puerta Vallarta where we got to hang out and swing from the trees in the Mexican forest. We spent our whole day ziplining in Puerta and had so much fun. They even let the little kids who were under 5 zipline. They loved it. We had several days at sea where we enjoyed movies, games, mini golf, shows, food, and ICE CREAM.... lots of Ice cream :) This was Austin and my 3rd cruise together and I think we both agreed this was our favorite ship we've been on. It was definitely the nicest. We did find out after we got on the ship that our ship was the one that had mechanical difficulties last year and was stuck in the middle of the ocean where they had to fly in spam and such for the passengers to eat.... but the Splendor didn't give us any trouble, luckily. We had so much fun making memories and spending time with the Hoffmann family and look forward to our next vacation.

I love the fall!!! I haven't posted for quite some time. We had a baby shower for my cute friend Shar and it was such a blast. We were able to hang out with friends who we haven't seen in a long time and we were able to celebrate Shar's baby Ella, talk with our great friend Erin who recently lost her husband to Leukemia just a few days after their son was born, and catch up with old friends. It was an amazing night of re-bonding for great friends. Also, here are some fun crafts I've been working on and our annual family pumpkin carving night. We had a blast, we miss the Fryer's every year. We are getting a little more technical with our pumpkins now thanks to templates haha Life is great at the Hoffmann house, Austin is just studying all the time and working, and I still work full time. We're just enjoying life and are preparing for our next cruise in December. Can't wait! I don't really have much to say other then we've had an excellent fall, lots of fun times going to dinner, movies, playing games with friends, homework and crafting. Living life to the fullest :) I've been trying to get all my Christmas shopping done before Thanksgiving this year, so if you read this let me know what you'd like ha ha I haven't had a lot of success. I've also become slightly addicted to PINTEREST. If you haven't heard of it or joined, send me a comment with your email and I will invite you. It's pretty much the most brilliant website ever. I haven't posted in a while, but Austin and I have been having a great summer. Austin had the 4th of July off for the first time since I met him 5 years ago, so we got to enjoy the day at the parade, Cherry Days, we went to a movie with some friends and then a BBQ at the Greenwell's. I love the 4th of July, it's one of my favorite holidays. It was very fun and the Fryer's were in town. We spent a lot of time with them. We went to Bear Lake at the end of July with my family and it was a blast! Then my brother Scotty graduated from the police academy at Weber State University last week, it was really fun to be able to go support him and see him graduate. We're really proud of him. Only 2 semesters left and Austin will graduate. Can't wait!!! Sorry that's just a quick recap of the summer. We're looking forward to the fall and our cruise in December.

Wow it's been a long time since I posted anything. Where to begin. Spring has been good for us at the Hoffmann Home. Just working, school, and a little playing in between. Austin only has a few more semesters left of school HALLELUJAH! then maybe we can have a baby haha We had a fun Easter with the fam, celebrated several Birthdays, went to Cancun, and Austin and I recently celebrated our 3rd Anniversary. I can't believe how quickly the time goes. I can remember our wedding day like it was yesterday. We're still loving every minute of it and looking forward to many more years together. Hope you are all doing well, sorry it's so brief I'm more of a picture person then a words person :)

Today is my Dad's 58th Birthday. He is such an awesome guy. He is very hardworking, athletic, and fun to be around. He loves to golf, snowmobile, sleep, garden and secretly he likes to shop ;) especially around Christmas time. He loves the New York Yankees and the Greenbay Packers! OH YA! He loves his kids even though they like to tease him and tickle him since his stroke a few years back. We all try to make him laugh, because when he does he can't stop. It's hilarious. He makes a mean roast and bakes the best chocolate cake you will ever eat! He loves his Grandkids and spending time with them. (even though he doesn't like when toys are out :))We LOVE you Vern Dogger. Happy Happy Birthday!!

It's official... It's REALLY happening. We've been talking about going on a big vacation with my mom's side of the family for such a long time, years in fact. It's finally happening, my Grandparents are taking us all to Cancun this spring. Yes! you are correct if you're thinking we've got the greatest Grandparents in the world. This is not the only reason they are the greatest though, they are the kindest, most loving, giving, happiest couple I know and they are such a wonderful example to our family. We love and appreciate them so much!!!! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Ballif! We can't wait to spend an entire week hanging out with the fam in Mexico.

I love the holidays! This year was awesome. We kicked things off with our annual Ballif family party, which was great as always. We ate some yummy dinner, played the bells (my favorite part), and shot some balloons. Austin and I ended up winning $60!! Not too shabby. Thanks Grandma & Grandpa Ballif. Shannon and her family came into town and we had some fun times with them, Austin's brother Kyle and his family also came to town for Christmas so we kept going back and forth from family to family. It was a great time, we enjoy when the Fryer's and Hoffmann's visit. Christmas morning started with Austin and me opening our stockings and gifts from each other, then we went for hot chocolate and toast at Grandma & Grandpa Braithwaite's followed by snacks and gifts at the Hoffmann's house (Austin's parents). We then went straight to dinner and presents with my family, then to Grandma Hoffmann's for dessert, and finally back to the Hoffmann's for games and fun with the family. It was a great day, but it went by WAY too fast. For New Year's we went to a party at the church with our good friends. We spent the night eating, playing games, playing sports, and watching the boys home videos from when they were in High School. It was a blast!! I loved seeing what Austin and his friends were like back in the days before I knew them. We had a wonderful time with our friends and can't wait until next year. All in all Austin and I had a great 2010 and can't wait to see what 2011 brings our family!

For Thanksgiving this year we went to Austin's parents house for dinner and then we went to my Grandma and Grandpa Ballif's for dessert, then we went to Unstoppable with Brett and Amber. That movie is awesome, everyone should go see it. It was a wonderful Thanksgiving. I wish I'd have taken more pictures. Then on Saturday we went to the annual Ugly Sweater Party at the Greenwell's. It was a blast. This year Santa came! The kids were all scared to death haha it was so funny. We had a nice fancy dinner, and played a fun game with white elephants. Thanks to all the Greenwell's for a fun time! Austin and I are looking forward to the Ballif Christmas party this week. Hope we win lots of good stuff :)

So, I must confess. I LOVE Christmas. I love the weather, the smells, the scenery, and I love love to give gifts. So much in fact that I CANNOT wait until Christmas day to give people their presents. For instance Austin is currently wearing a pair of levi's, a basketball jacket, a jazz hat, and playing with an accessory for his xbox. My mother is wearing 3 very cute watch bands that I gave her, and I have already watched my copy of eclipse, and worn my jazz hoodie. I know... I know.. it's only December 6th, but I told you.. i'm THE worst at waiting. I get so excited about the presents I buy, I just can't wait to give them to everyone. I text my mom yesterday and said, "Mom will you feel bad on Christmas morning if you get your present from us today?" I was so glad when her response was NO. I ordered these watch band kits like two weeks ago and they finally came Friday, so I hurried and made the bands and couldn't even wait 1 whole day to give them to her. She loved them! So I was glad I gave them to her early, so now she can wear them all month long. I've also decided this habit of giving gifts out early can be bad... because Christmas morning Austin isn't going to have 1 present to open since he already has them all.. so we've started putting our opened gifts under the tree unwrapped just so it looks like we gave each other stuff.

That is my confession.. I don't know that I'll ever change, but it is something I am actively working on :) However, it is something that I am now getting made fun of for constantly, but if you are the one receiving the gift.... I bet you won't be making fun of me.

For those of you who don't know, I LOVE Halloween. It's one of my favorite holidays. I love how the leaves start to change colors, the brisk mornings, the smell of heaters turning on, and hot chocolate! I love fall. I love everything about it. I also really love to carve pumpkins and dress up. This year we had our annual pumpkin carving family night at my parents house. It was a lot of fun. Everybody had a good time, but we missed the Fryer family. This year Austin and I dressed up as Batwoman and the Joker for our friend's party. Austin could only keep his costume on for part of it, because the kids were all pretty scared of him. It was a really fun though. We had dinner, a pumpkin carving contest, and then a scary movie. We are really lucky to have such close friends. Austin's friends are so great, and we all get together often. I've really gotten to know his friends and their wives and we all get along really great. We love them!!

I turned 23 on the 5th. I can't believe i'm already that old haha It was a really fun weekend. I love my Birthday because it is on Labor Day weekend so I always get work off at least of of the days. This year we went to the Real Salt Lake game with Brett and Amber to celebrate my Birthday. It was really fun. Then Sunday my mom and dad made me a Birthday dinner. We had roast, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, rolls, and cake and ice cream. It was delicious. I got some really good stuff this year, including my zebra mirror!!! It's my favorite. My mom gave me this cute picture of the Bountiful temple as an early Birthday present! I love it! We didn't really get any pictures of the temple when we got married so I've been searching around for one I liked, and then my Mom made me one at homemaking. It turned out great. She did an awesome job on it. Thanks Mother!!! Also, this dresser is my latest project. I got it when my Grandpa passed away. It was one he had at his house. I decided after a year of it sitting in my basement, that I would actually do something with it. I sanded it all down and then painted it. I'm planning on doing the same to Austin's dresser he uses. I was going to buy matching handles so the dressers would kind of match, but man oh man handles are expensive!! So I just decided to keep the old ones and just spray paint them silver... just trying to accomplish my dream of becoming crafty :)

On the 24th of July Brett and Amber invited us to go the RSL game. We had a blast. They got us tickets that were in an awesome section and like 12 rows back. At half time everyone left to get some snacks and drinks because it was like 100 degrees, I stayed back to watch all of our stuff and wouldn't you know it... they started throwing out shirts. Well there I was sitting by myself just waiting for the crew to come back and a shirt lands right where Brett was sitting, so I get up and go over to grab it and this little 10 year old kid sitting right in front of us reached back to grab the shirt. He had the shirt in his hands but didn't have a strong grip so I sort of yanked it out of his hands :) I kind of felt bad but I was really glad I ended up with an RSL shirt. When Austin came back he couldn't believe I'd gotten it. I never catch anything at sporting events! The game ended in a 1-1 tie,but it was still really fun. Afterwords there were fireworks and they let everyone go down on the soccer field. We really enjoyed going. Thanks Brett and Amber for getting us hooked up!

My family FINALLY got family pictures. The last time we had family pictures, Shannon was pregnant with Mitch, and Miryka was pregnant with Halle. We celebrated Father's Day with a dinner at mom's and then gifts. We sure do have a good time when we get together with the Fam. I love it. Hopefully one day the Fryer's will be Utah residents again. Last weekend I got the chance to go to the Drive-in with 3 of my very favorite girls. It was so fun to get together and catch up. I miss them all!! We also got to celebrate Austin's 27th Birthday. He is such a great husband and I'm so glad I get to be his wife. We have so much fun together and our 2 years of marriage have been great! I love how hard-working he is, how he knows how to fix everything, how he loves sports and he's great at them, I love how he can talk to anyone and makes friends everywhere he goes, how funny he is, and I love how much he loves kids, and how great he is with them. He's going to be a great Dad someday.... hopefully not too soon haha Couple more years. Happy Birthday babe, I love you!

I'm not the best at creating long posts. I like to write as little as possible and put tons of pictures, but i'll try and tell you a bit about our cruise. We just got back from a cruise to the Bahamas with many of Austin's High School buddies and their spouses. It was AMAZING! I highly recommend everyone visiting the Bahamas. The first night we spent in Miami... well mostly just a ghetto hotel in Miami. We walked across the street to a gas station to buy some water and I was like oh look there is like a toy sword in the road... as we got closer I was like "WOW" that's not a toy sword. Don't worry it was a machete! In the middle of the road. I LOVE UTAH! haha Then the next morning we got on the ship and set sail for Cococay which was the cruiseline's private Island. We got there and about 5 minutes into it, it starting pouring down rain. Not what we signed up for, but ended up being way fun. We played a little beach volleyball between storms, and then it rained harder than I've ever seen rain come down. They made us evacuate the Island. It was a little scary, but they headed toward Nassau Bahamas early and we were able to spend the night there. Then we woke up and did some shopping at the Straw Market which was very fun, and then we hit the beach! Clearest water I've ever seen. It was so amazing being in such a beautiful place. We had a blast. That is until we got off the ship and sat in the Miami Airport from 8am-5pm. Thanks to Chicago's weather our plane was delayed and we were stuck in the airport all day. Overall it was a GREAT vacation and we hope to be able to travel with our friends a lot more! (sorry that was a very condenced version of the whole trip)

After 3 years at the Harrison branch, I finally decided to branch out and expand my America First bubble. I got the Lead Teller position at the North Ogden branch, which is about 2-3 minutes from my house instead of 25-30 minutes. It was a tough decision because I really loved all of my co-workers and the members at Harrison. I've made some GREAT friends working there, and it was really hard to leave them. We had some good times to say the least. I have never had a job where I laughed SO much. I will never forget "THE WALL" and all of the funny things we all said. Love you all Harrison Branch!!!! Austin and I celebrated our 2 year Anniversary on the 16th. I can't believe how fast it goes by. It feels like our wedding was last week. It was such a beautiful day and I loved every minute of it. For our Anniversary we had decided our cruise would just count as our gift to each other since we're going to the Bahamas in June. Can't Wait!! Austin broke the no gift rule and surprised me with 2 dozen gorgeous roses at work. I was so shocked to see them at my teller station when I got back from lunch. They were in the coolest, biggest vase I've ever seen. Thanks Babe, I love you!!!!

Almost every Sunday afternoon my family gets together at my parents house to spend some time together. This particular Sunday we celebrated Blake's 15th Birthday. I can't believe how old he's getting. I still see him as my little baby brother, even though he's like a foot taller than me. Halle and Bailee put on a little dance show for us and it was HILARIOUS, Haden showed us a few of his break dancing moves, and Avery was trying to be a big girl and dance with her sisters. I just love them SO much. They are so fun and I'm lucky to be their aunt. We had a great time. I love my family! We miss the Fryer's in Arizona though :(

I was able to take the day off and go to my good friends wedding! It was so much fun. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple and Heather, Tyler, and I went to the sealing, (Austin couldn't get off work) then we all walked over to the luncheon at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and ate some very delicious food. One of my favorite things in the world is being able to be at the temple when my friends get sealed for time and eternity. It was a great day and I'm so glad I got to be a part of it! Congratulations Tay and Chels!!!

Jazz Laker's Playoff Game!

We went to game #3 of the Jazz vs. Lakers playoffs. Austin's brother has season tickets and was so kind to sell us some of them for a really great deal ;) Thanks Kyle! Austin, me, Aleece, and Trent all went to the game together. They gave out free T-shirts, and posters with Kobe's modeling pictures on them haha It was funny. We had a great time, even though they lost by 1. I've never been to a louder Jazz game, it was so fun to scream and yell at the refs. We had a blast! (P.S. we took some pictures of us at the game, but they weren't cute, so I didn't post them)

I can't beleive it, but Friday was my 3 year Anniversary of working at the credit union! I've loved this job so much, and the people I work with are so fun. We have a great time at work. They even put up with me when I get a little stressed out. I started as a 30 hour teller and the Harrison Branch and a year later became back-up lead, then about 8 months later I became the lead teller and have been in this position for just over a year. I love my job. Two of the people I work with also started at the credit union in April so we kind of have a joke that it's our "Anniversary." So for our Anniversary Sami had a cake made, and it is hilarious I love it. Congrats Sami and Blake on your 2 years! I love working with everyone at the Harrison Branch.

This year we went to Arizona to visit Shannon, Jordan, and the kids for Easter. We had a blast! We got to color easter eggs which I love to do every year, it's a good thing I'm an aunt since I don't have kids of my own haha We also did an Easter egg hunt on Sunday, it was so much fun. I really enjoyed visiting Shannon. We really wish they lived closer, but it's fun to go visit them. She has some cute pictures on her blog too so you'll have to check them out.

My best friend since Kindergarten got married yesterday!!! It was such a fun day. Heather and Tyler (who is also my good friend, I met him in Jr. High and we've been good friends for a long time) were married in the Bountiful Temple! Austin and I were both able to go watch them be sealed for time and eternity. It is so much fun being able to be in the temple with such good friends. I really enjoyed being a bridesmaid, and my mom made all of the bridesmaid dresses. They are so cute! Heather and Tyler have been dating on and off since like 8th or 9th grade, and I always knew they would end up getting married. They are SO good together. Congratualations you two!! We are so glad we got to be a part of your special day.

We had our annual pumpking carving evening last night with my family, and it was a blast. I thought I'd try to get creative (which I'm totally not but it's something I'd like to be so I've been working on it) As most of you may know, my Dad, Austin, and I are huge Yankee fans! So I decided since they are in the World Series that I would carve my pumpkin in honor of the yankees ha ha Also, my awesome little brother Blake plays football at Wahlquist Jr. High. He is the starting running back and also plays defense. He pretty much plays the whole game, even with a broken arm. He's done so good this season and if they win their game tomorrow they will be playing for the championship next week, so I thought I'd put a picture of Blake's pumpkin on here too. I wish I knew how to put video on because I got some awesome video at his last game of him catching an interception and running it down for a touchdown. He's super fast. We had a really fun time together carving pumpkins. I learned that two of my brothers are big wussy's and didn't want to clean the pumpkins out because the inside is gross. (Don't worry guys, the little girls and I took care of it) Halle, Haden, and Bailee were having so much fun carving pumpkins. My mom made taco soup and yummy breadsticks that she shaped like bones for Halloween. We missed the Fryer family though. Hopefully they will live in Utah again sometime soon. We don't see them enough. I hope you all have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

It's been forever since I've had a chance to post anything. We moved in to our first house the last week of June, and I swear, I will never finish unpacking. Here are a few of the rooms in our house. I didn't take a picture of a few bedrooms, because they still just have boxes in them. Also, the pictures of decorations are just a few of my latest projects. It's always been my goal to become crafty. I'm really trying. I really need decorating help though! If you have any ideas, please let me know! For Austin and I, we are just both working all the time, and Austin is going to Weber State. We stay pretty busy, but are lucky enough to get to see each other quite a bit, and we do still get a chance to go out with friends. No babies yet, everyone thinks since we've been married a year that we should have a child, but there isn't a baby in the picture until about 2011 at the earliest!

So it's been forever since I last posted anything. In June Austin and I went on a cruise with some of his siblings and their spouse's and it was awesome!! We got to go whale watching, and zip lining, and we were just able to see how beautiful Alaska is. We were very surprised when we got there to find that it was 80 degrees!! We did not pack for warm weather at all. Luckily I threw in a few t-shirts for us. I was thinking I'd need sweaters and winter coats. It was really fun though, everyone in Alaska kept telling us how lucky we were to have come when we did, because it is never that warm there. It was 80 degrees everyday that we were there. I'd never been on a cruise before, but I think they are my new favorite vacations. It was awesome, we got to be good friends with one of the employees on the ship and every time we saw him he would smile at us and make comments about french toast, because that's what we ate every morning and he was the one who always served us. We also got to check out Seattle the first day, which was really fun too.

I'm a few days late, but Austin and I had our 1 year anniversary on May 16. I can't believe it's already been a whole year. It's gone so fast, it feels like it was just last week. Everybody always says the 1st year is the hardest, but I feel like it was a great year. We still haven't even had a major fight. We get along so well and are just getting ready to buy a house, which is a little scary but I can't wait! For our anniversary we started the morning off by going to see a few houses, then maddox for lunch, a movie, and then a BBQ with some friends that night. It was a wonderful day!!!! I love you Austin!

We had our annual Ballif family Christmas party this year. We throw darts at balloons and inside the balloons tell us things we have to do for prizes, and the adults get to play for money instead of prizes. This year after all the balloons were gone my grandpa pinned up a 50 dollar bill and said whoever can hit the closest to the center wins it. Out of 17 adults I was 16th to go and nobody had even hit the bill so far. So I got up and I was pretty nervous, but I just threw the dart and it landed right on Grant's right cheek!!! I was so excited because none of the men got it and I did. I wish I would have taken a few pictures with it, but I was so excited I just grabbed it, hugged my Grandpa and put it in my wallet. We had a great first Christmas as a married couple but I only took a few pictures, so I hope you like them.

Sorry I haven't posted anything forever. I have to do it at my parents house and there internet has been retarded for like 2 months. So two weeks ago, Austin and I went to Disneyland with his whole family. We did newport beach, disneyland two days,California adventure,six flags, universal studios, and we were supposed to go to knotts berry, but we decided we'd rather go shopping! (the girls that is ha ha)We had a really great time and I got to know his family a lot better. I forgot to take my camera like everyday, so if it looks like we're wearing the same outfit everday we really weren't, we took all our pictures the same day ha ha
